Note:
Volunteer selections are a highly competitive process. Preference will be given to those who have volunteered previously, those who have specialized skills or have adaptive sports experience. For information contact Wintersportsclinic@va.gov.
The National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic depends on a corps of more than 700 volunteers.
Based on the needs of the event and its Veterans, volunteers with specific skills and abilities are prized contributors.
Those include the following categories:
Many volunteer opportunities are physically demanding at high altitude, require lifting and some require moderate computer skills. Each area has job-specific requirements. If you volunteer, please ensure you can meet the requirements.
Volunteer opportunities are recruited for in the following areas:
- Alternative Activites
- Bootloader
- Downhill Adaptive Instructors*
- Food & Beverage
- Nordic Adaptive Instructors
- Ski Equipment Team
- Team Leader
- Transportation
* we are in need of strong instructors who can tether
